ICONIC DESIGN
Vantage embodies the most dynamic design in the Aston Martin range, offering a bold, assertive character through its wide body profile, iconic front grille and evocative side and rear bumper vents. Vantage delivers both design form and technical function, with its wide track enhancing dynamic stability and larger grille enhancing engine cooling and body vents enhancing aerodynamic stability.
Interior Design
DESIGNER’S NOTES
The new Vantage interior design offers an instinctive, focussed and functional interior. Seamlessly integrating innovative technologies with dynamic craftmanship and materials. The new cabin design introduces horizontal surfaces, which blend seamlessly with the forward view, promoting a sensation of the vehicle being at one with its environment.
SEATING POSITION
Vantage features a low seating position creating a sporting feel and the perfect position for dynamic driving. The low-volume fascia design enhances the feeling of cabin space. The low centre console and scalloped door panels optimise space around the upper body ensuring the driver’s arms are not hindered during dynamic driving or manoeuvring.
DRIVER CONTROLS
Driver-centric controls are ergonomically placed along the cabin centreline, ensuring maximum driver connection. Offering a combination of contemporary display screens and interactive analogue switches, the cabin provides the optimum balance of tactility among the trend for digitisation.
INTENSE PERFORMANCE
With 665PS and 800Nm from the 4.0-litre Twin Turbo V8 engine, Vantage delivers an invigorating performance that perfectly complements its dynamic character. Harnessing this performance through the recalibrated 8-speed automatic gearbox and rear electronic-differential has been possible with cutting-edge, industryleading control systems. Developed to work intuitively with a stiffer body structure and chassis changes, the driver can finely exploit the power delivery with precise throttle control and steering response.
ENGAGING DYNAMICS
Dynamic ability takes centre stage in the Vantage, with a meticulous focus on steering response and handling character. Improved body stiffness enables the advanced suspension dampers to deliver more grip with an elevated sense of control and connection for the driver. This new damping technology provides an optimum balance of ride quality while improving overall body control and breadth of capability across the choice of drive modes.
The cutting-edge electronic stability control system developed for Vantage provides a new level of dynamic capability. By anticipating vehicle movements, the advanced 6-axis accelerometer and multi-integrated control systems provide an impeccably smooth dynamic experience, with imperceptible interventions from the stability system, ensuring greater focus on driving purity and enjoyment.
Exterior Design
DESIGNER’S NOTES
The sports car of the Aston Martin range, designed to communicate its athletic and predatory character whilst retaining a level of design purity. Sporting proportions and dynamic lines accentuate the character, while assertive details confirm the powerful positioning. Utilising technical requirements to support design proportions enables a blend of functional performance and unmistakable beauty.
INCREASED BODY WIDTH
With an increase in body width of 30mm, the enhanced stance provides greater road presence and an assertive design character, A commensurate increase in track width, enabled by the wider body, improves dynamic stability at all speeds.
LARGER GRILLE
Vantage receives an all-new front bumper, fender and grille design with a more assertive and striking aesthetic. The traditional ‘Aston Martin’ vaned grille is standardised and enlarged offering a 38% increase in surface area to aid cooling for the 665PS engine.
FRONT SPLITTER
The new front splitter is developed to enhance high speed stability by reducing lift and providing a clean airflow around the body. The assertive visual aesthetic gives a wider and lower stance, accentuating the body width.
BRAKE COOLING DUCTS
New outer bumper vents channel air around the front of Vantage, both reducing drag while channelling cool air into the front wheel arches to assist with brake cooling. High pressure air is released from the front wheel arch through side fender vent and past the new side strake feature.
MATRIX LED HEADLIGHTS
All new Matrix LED headlight design, introducing the brands new light signature with integrated Daytime Running Lights (DRLs). Intricate craftmanship details have been applied to the lights, including the Aston Martin wordmark scribed on the headlamp internals.
SIDE STRAKES
Introduction of the iconic Aston Martin side strake leads the eye along the powerline, evoking dynamism both at speed and while stationary. Detailed with the Aston Martin word mark to finish the jewellery appearance.
PRESENTING DOOR HANDLES
Increasing convenience, presenting door handles are fitted to the industry defining flush mount door handles, deploying with a simple press or when the vehicle is opened via the remote key.
21” WHEELS
21” Forged alloy wheels provide an athletic and assertive presence, filling the wheel arch to complete the profile from the side. Available with a choice of 3 wheel designs with a distinctive choice of surface finishes.
WING MIRRORS
Frameless door mirrors introduce a smaller, sleeker design while also improving the aerodynamic profile of Vantage
INTEGRATED DECKLID SPOILER
Providing aerodynamic balance from front to rear, the integrated spoiler is accentuated from the rear with a full width, ultra slim light graphic.
WHEEL ARCH PRESSURE VENTS
Located on the outer corners of the rear bumper, the new wheel arch pressure vents bleed air away from the rear wheel arches reducing lift and increasing the cooling efficiency of the brakes.
HIDDEN SHUT LINES
Beneath the rear lights the tailgate shut line is hidden, giving the impression of a seamless, uninterrupted sculpted rear design. Similarly, the rear window glass blends seamlessly with the roof and C-pillars with the tailgate not fully revealing itself until opened.
REAR DIFFUSER
Controlling the flow of low-pressure air under the car, the central rear diffuser and outer diffuser blades provide a clean and stable separation of airflow from the vehicle, keeping the car stable at speed.
